I went in last week because the splash shield on my car was hanging off after running over some snow. When I went in, everyone was friendly and I appreciated the quick service. The one gentleman, a mechanic I believe, told me it should be any more than 40-60$. I thought that seemed reasonable, heck, what did I know? Even farther, he said he might not have to write a ticket for it because it would be such a simple task. Well when I got the ticket, I found it was $87. I paid it, without much more than a grumble and left. I'm simply frustrated at the disparity that happened between the mechanic and the boss. After talking to others that work/own shops in the area, I found that the price I paid was actually rather high considering it was a minor repair of a splash shield. I don't expect anything to come of this review, frankly I didn't even want to write one, but after getting a text/email two to three times since my visit telling me to review the business -- I found that I had to give my input. Overall, was the service fine? Yes. Did they do what was expected? Yes. But did they quote me with one price, then fail to explain why it was more? Also yes. This is the reason for your one star review. I appreciate transparency and this was not a case of such.
Brittany - Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Our goal is always 100% customer satisfaction and when that doesn't happen, we want to know about it! I checked in to this situation and you are correct. There was an internal miscommunication and your ticket should have been $55.05. Thank you again for making us aware of this! It also gave us an opportunity to better improve the process so this mistake does not occur again.
