My fiancé and I took his vehicle here because he came up for an emissions test and the check engine light was on and this place is right by our house. We told them we needed the car to be able to pass emissions and they informed us they would run a smoke test (non refundable) to figure out the problem. A code came up and they fixed it for $500 which we thought was a lot since it is a 2000 vehicle, but if $500 would make this car pass emissions, we would do it. We let them fix it and took the vehicle home the next day. Within 24 hours the engine light was back on so we brought it back. They ran the smoke test again and another issue came up that did not originally come up, and this time it was going to be $600 to fix it. Keep in mind this car isn't work more than $1500 but at this point we already spent $500 and were not going to just say F it. We paid another $600 and took the car home and YET AGAIN the engine light comes on within 24 hours. They ran smoke tests again and could not figure out the issue; the same codes were coming up that they already fixed. My fiancé took his vehicle to the emissions place and the man told him that if you fail emissions twice, they grant you a hardship and you get a pass until your next emissions comes up. They gave us the pass and now after spending $1100 at Honest Auto Care the engine light is still on, it still does not pass emissions and we are out all of that money. Honest did not hold their end of the bargain and get to the bottom of the issue. They took our money and basically threw the towel in because nobody could fix it. They should've given us back some money because they did not finish or do the job we asked them to do.
