Here in the Chicago suburbs, we’ve seen creative new ways to use cars to connect with other people while still practicing social distancing. From the creation of the personal birthday parade, to friends lunching and meeting for coffee in the backs of their SUVs, there is no doubt that the automobile has been the go-to method of socializing from a distance. CAR CARE TIPS When to Schedule Tire Rotation & Balancing Customers often are perplexed about the "standard" time-frame or mile-mark that indicates the need for tire rotation or balancing. We wanted to cover this to help inform customers who may be in the dark. The simple answer is, there is no "standard". The interval for tire rotation could come from a recommendation from either the tire manufacturer or the auto manufacturer. The interval is typically around 5,000 miles but could range from 3,000 to 8,000 miles. The background question for many of our patrons is why do tires news to be rotated in the first place? Front tires wear differently than the rear tires because steering wears the shoulders faster up front. Rotating the position of the tires allows for more even wear among all the tires. Honest-1 Auto Care was proud to be able to participate in the DEAR Georgetown event at Georgetown Elementary on Feb 27th. DEAR Georgetown is an event during which the Georgetown organization invites local community figures and entrepreneurs to read to students. The goal is to promote reading and the importance of education while also introducing the students to those that positively impact the community in which we live. The Aurora Fire Department was on site Saturday February 25th at Honest-1 Auto Care conducting Child Seat Safety Inspections.
